About Weight Loss

Here's the nitty gritty.

I don't have any memories of being under 263 pounds. That's a pretty big (and scary) number, considering I'm only 25. So I've decided to commit my 25th year to changing my lifestyle. Not into something so healthy I will never eat a cheese burger again, because I like my cheese burgers! But into something that I can maintain and still be a healthy role model for my kids.

My tools for this transformation:
1.)  #TwitterDiet - It is SO awesome I can't even explain it's awesomeness to you. We meet twice a week (Sundays and Thursdays at 8pm EST) and we utilize the #TwitterDiet hashtag for around the clock support. It is an awesome group of people who are coming together to SUPPORT each other in weightloss and not to tear each other down, which is so easy to do.
2.)  MyFitnessPal - It's an AWESOME calorie/exercise tracking website and app. I use the app like a crazed fool. And the app has a (built in) barcode scanner that actually works! There's also a networking/connections aspect that's pretty cool (incorporating some of my #TwitterDiet peeps to MFP is an awesome idea.)
3.) Pinterest- Let's face it this crazy has some amazing benefits mostly being you can find some amazing healthy recipes and remakes that will revitalize your eating habits and life. Plus some of the fitness links are also life changing and Thinspiration and Fitspiration are overflowing! (Beware the pro-anorexia thinspiration though.)

There are other resources that I plan to fully investigate and probably use, I will (hopefully) update this page as I find ones that I use frequently.

  1. Wow, never heard of twitter diet. Sounds cool! I've tried my fitness pal but had a hard time logging in and recording when I didn't make progress. Good luck with your weight loss goals!
